Running through it all is Bellford’s obsession with photographing the female form and his determination to produce a monumental work of art that celebrates the beauty, mystery and women.
The book traces Bellford as he struggles with the technicalities of cameras, apertures and exposures while bringing up a family and always striving to find time to devote to his work of art that he is creating In Praise of Women.
About the Author
I was nearly 65 years of age when I wrote In Praise of Women. It was something I needed to do. It had to be about something I know, photography and history. I have done many jobs in my life but throughout I have stayed true to my first love, photography. I was an engineer, returning to full time education to obtain a Degree in History and Sociology. Subsequently I became a social worker. I am now retired and can concentrate on writing.
